The department of Pathology in Lakeshore Hospital with the divisions of Surgical Pathology, Hematology, Cytology & Immunohistochemistry has two senior consultants, a Junior Specialist and a Junior Registrar, experienced and dedicated technical staff and state of art facilities.
The department processes approximately 1000 surgical specimens and 225 Cytology and Bone marrow specimens including FNAC per month.
Paraffin blocks of surgical specimens are referred from other hospitals for second opinion and Immunohistochemistry. |

Determination of Hormone receptor status in breast carcinoma, Immunohistochemistry of lymphoma/leukemia, soft tissue and epithelial tumors are performed routinely in the department.
