The Radiology and Imaging Centre in our hospital is equipped with the latest equipments found in the market as on date, which helps in a long way in obtaining an accurate disease diagnosis.

Sub Second Spiral CT Scanner - HISPEED - LXi

This CT scanner provides a high-resolution imaging and this technique takes multiple sub second cross sectional images of the body. These can be reconstructed into multiplanar and 3D images. This enables Cerebral, Carotid, Hepatic, Renal and Peripheral Angiography; 3D and volume reconstruction of bones ,vessels etc; Virtual Bronchoscopy and Colonoscopy. C.T. Perfusion and C.T. Fluro are some of the other unique features of this machine.

We have the latest 4D scanner which gives us real time multi dimensional images.

Colour Doppler and Ultrasound Scanners that help us in vascular and 2D imaging. Trans Rectal studies using Biplanar probes and Trans vaginal studies are possible.

Interventional Radiology Advantex Tilt-C 1000 mA unit with DSA

This sophisticated equipment helps us in imaging the vascular and biliary system thus enabling diagnostic and therapeutic angio procedures; biliary drainage; vascular and biliary stenting, embolizations etc.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging

An independent MR centre, which is our sister concern located adjacent to our hospital has the Kerala’s first 1 Tesla superconductivity machine from Siemens. The Centre is also equipped with a Mammography and Bone densitometry unit.

The Future

In our constant endeavor to upgrade with the latest ,we are in the process of making this department and hospital film less with Digital Radiography and PACS.

Gamma camera with wide variety of isotope scanning is also planned.
