Crohn’s and Colitis Clinic (IBD Clinic)
The existence of crohn’s disease in India was highlighted by Dr.Philip Augustine’s team in 1996. Even now this team handles the largest number of Crohn’s disease in the country and recently started a “Crohn’s and Colitis Clinic” of lakeshore for the study and management of IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disese) including immuno diagnosis and biological therapy. This unit is part of several multinational trials of Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative Colitis. The pathology department of lakeshore is a recognized as a national referral centre for many multinational trials.
