Project Samaritan is a joint venture of VPS Lakeshore hospital, Rotary Club of Cochin West and the Kochi City police.. It is a 3 hour meticulously structured training programme where school and college kids are taught 20 different life saving skills which can be useful during various emergency situations including accidents and trauma. This programme has 3 levels of which we could complete 3O different  level 1 programmes in various schools and colleges in Kochi  over a period of 6 months and is still ongoing..We also have a level 2 programme where a full day certified course in accident and emergency care is offered to selected Students from various schools..
4 level 2 programmes have been completed.There is also a level 3 Samaritan where some really good students will be trained intensively to help the Police force in handling emergencies..Project Samaritan has been hugely successful and has received a lot of accolates and appreciation from various corners.. The success only due to the intense hard work and dedication of the entire team of Doctors, emergency medical technicians and co ordinators along with the unconditional  support of Rotary Cochin west  lead by President Ajith and the Kochi City Police.
VPS Lakeshore is really committed in empowering the public to make them capable to provide emergency care by offering training in various first Aid techniques as this can surely help to improve standards of health care in our state..
